Hand-held gaming console.

After figuring out what wonders a raspberry pi can do, i thought why not make a simple hand held gaming console using raspberry pi. this project involves lots of hard work (almost 48 hours of continuous work without sleep). i am an electronics engineer but i was always curious to learn how to design a 3d models/parts and as of now i am pretty confident about fusion 360 after doing this project i can design any case for electronic equipments/devices.

Few things that stricked my mind i.e, why indian gaming hardware/software industries lags behind so much when compared to any foregion companies such as sony, nintendo and Microsoft. I have a dream of making my own gaming console and selling with cheap price in india. there is a huge demand of new cheap gaming console in the indian market specially the middle class teenager cannot afford the console like paystation and X-box so this can besically be nullified by introducing a new indian gaming console and taking about games development, yes! we have lot of developers in india but they are concentrated on android games and i think if this concept goes viral lots of indian game developing companies will get attracted to this concept.

Another thing is indian gaming industry is shifting its gears rapidly but people do not have a proper platform to play games because lot of middle class teenagers in india cannot to pay such a huge amount for a monstrous Personal Computer or a console And also in recent times indian parents have understood that gaming (online streming) can also be a career for earning for that i think PUBG Streaming has played a important role.

As i said earlier middle calss teenagers cannot afford shuch an huge amount they do not buy a console or a gaming PC thats where the problem of emulator pops in, there people who cannot afford to pay such an huge amount they tend to play android games on cheap PC (for Example: PUBG mobile)

I have developed a 3d model case i know it looks ugly but in future it will be upgraded.

so basically 4 main electronic components are required.

raspberry pi 4 with 2Gb ram or more
5 inch lcd display (you can use any other which support pi 4)
usb Joystick module
Lakka OS (this operating system is abel to run psp games on raspberry pi without overclocking i tested God of war and it was hitting decent benchmarks with minor lags)

i am not going through installation procedure because there are thousands of videos on Youtube that can help you.

usb joystick module is verry dificult to find and it is really expensive if you want to invest little more money on this you can order it online or else you have to stick with GPIO pins of raspberry pi. GPIO pins are limited on raspberry pi so you cannot use more than 8 buttons and rest of the pins are attached to display module.
